Palazzo Lana 2010 Extreme Franciacorta DOCG in wooden box
Description: Palazzo Lana Extreme 2010 is an extraordinary Franciacorta Riserva that represents the excellence of Italian oenology. This wine is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from two estate vineyards, cultivated with care and high planting density in Borgonato: Quindicipiò, on a hillside, and Brolo, near the Berlucchi Lana Palace.
Production Process: Grapes are harvested in the second decade of August 2010. The yield is 8,100 kg of grapes per hectare, with a must yield of 28 percent, equivalent to 3024 bottles per hectare. After a soft and progressive pressing, the heart of the flower must ferments in steel vats. Some batches are transferred to oak barrels, where they age for 6 months with yeasts. The cuvée is prepared in the spring following the harvest, selecting 100 percent of wines of the vintage from the best selections. This is followed by second fermentation in the bottle and aging in contact with yeasts for at least 10 years, followed by at least 6 months after disgorgement. The dosage is Extra Brut.
