Palazzo Lana 2010 Extreme Franciacorta DOCG
PALACE WOOL EXTRÊME 2010
UVE: 100% Pinot Noir from two estate vineyards, planted at high density, in Borgonato: Quindicipiò, on the hillside, and Brolo, overlooking Palazzo Lana Berlucchi.
HARVEST TIME: second decade of August 2010. YIELD: 8,100 kg of grapes per hectare, with a must yield of
28% equivalent to 3024 bottles per hectare.
WINE-MAKING: The “heart” of the flower must, obtained by soft and progressive pressing, carries out alcoholic fermentation in steel vats; at the end, some batches are transferred to oak barrels, where they age for 6 months in contact with yeasts.
MATURATION: Preparation of the cuvée in the spring following the harvest, with 100% of wines of the vintage chosen from the best selections. Second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging in contact with yeasts for at least 10 years, followed by a minimum of 6 months after disgorgement.
DOSAGE: Extra Brut.
VISUAL APPEARANCE: copious froth, persistent crown, very fine perlage.
COLOR: deep straw yellow, with rose gold highlights.
BOUQUET: broad olfactory sensations, with hints of yellow-fleshed fruits and candied orange.
TASTE: The palate is distinguished by great freshness, cleanliness of flavor and structure, all harmonized by minerality and acidity, which result in great persistence and important longevity.
ACCOMPANY: This is a full-bodied Reserve that pairs nicely with dishes rich in structure and flavor. It can accompany important first courses, fish stews and meat main courses.
