Pietradolce Etna Rosato DOC 2021
Pietradolce is located between Solicchiata and Passopisciaro, on the north side of Etna, founded and run by the Faro family and divided into three different plots. 20 hectares of property, between 600 and 900 meters above sea level, consisting of vines that have between 50 and 65 of nerello mascalese mainly with a small part planted in Carricante, from a 120-year-old pre-phylloxera vineyard, from whose grapes the Archineri Etna Bianco and Sant’Andrea are vinified. Pietradolce’s philosophy is to respect the individual terroirs, vinifying the grapes separately and thus enhancing the smallest nuances. The loamy-sandy soils with an abundant presence of mineral elements, a gift from Etna, give the wines unique characteristics of their kind where the true standard-bearer is Vigna Barbagalli, from almost 100-year-old pre-Philossera vines to sapling. A great love for their land: this is the philosophy behind the work of the Faro family, which after only ten years is confirmed as one of the greatest interpreters of this extraordinary land.
