Ramsbury Vodka Single Estate
In England, Ramsbury Estates is an example of applying the principles of eco-sustainability and zero miles. This is why Ramsbury can be called a “Single Estate”: everything takes place on our Property, between London and Cardif, which covers 19,600 hectares of land with a strong presence of gypsum, a material that retains moisture better than others. Cultivated fields are interspersed with small forests. The clear, pristine Kennet River donates water that is used in the distillery and for growing plants and raising farm animals. At Ramsbury, the production process is circular, meaning that everything is reused without wasting anything. For example, water used for production is reclaimed through a series of natural reed beds before being returned to the ecosystem. To make the alcohol base for example, the wheat used is of the prized Horatio variety that grows in the lush hills of Wiltshire, often used in high pastry.
