Roe and Co Irish Whiskey
Roe and Co is made from the finest hand-selected stocks of Irish malt and grain whiskies and aged in bourbon casks. It has the characteristic smoothness of Irish whiskey with a remarkable depth of flavor-a blend of luxury and smoothness, with a perfect harmony between the intense fruitiness of malt and the sweet creaminess of grain whiskies. The brand was created to reflect modern, contemporary luxury, in everything from the package to the liquid, with the goal of making Irish Whiskey more prominent in Europe’s burgeoning cocktail culture.
Roe & Co is named in honor of George Roe, the famous whiskey maker who helped build the golden era of Irish whiskey in the 19th century. His distillery, George Roe and Co, stretched over 17 acres on Thomas Street in Dublin and was the largest distillery in Ireland. Diageo will now build on this rich heritage with the creation of a new distillery from Guinness Power House on Thomas Street.
Using her 30 years of experience, Diageo’s Master Blender, Caroline Martin, and her team began meticulously selecting stocks of the finest Irish whiskies. After testing over 100 prototype blends since December 2014, Caroline has created an extraordinary expression of Irish Whiskey. The high percentage of first-fill barrels gives notes of creamy vanilla balanced with its hints of soft fruit and spice and considerable depth for such an elegant and refined whiskey. Roe & Co is not chilled and bottled at 45% ABV.
Roe & Co’s first blend is now available in major European cities as part of Diageo’s growing reserve portfolio.
