Rum Mount Gay 14 Yo 2007 “Magnum Photos Edition” Vol. 60% Cl 70
The great masters of photography meet the great masters of rum-this is the idea behind the Magnum series.
Four photographs signed by an artist from Magnum, one of the world’s leading photo agencies, embellish the labels of four rums produced by four great Master Distillers, bottled in Magnum format.
Luca Gargano, is recognized worldwide for the quality of these rum selections, and is also one of the world’s largest rum collectors. However, he also has a passion for photography, capturing the present moment. So through these photos he shares his encounters, his travels to the four corners of the planet, discovering the most secret, most remote rum distilleries in Africa.
This passion for the image, led him to get in touch with the Magnum agency, a famous company created in 1947 by big names in photography. Like Robert Capa or Henri Cartier Bresson, and currently still great photojournalists officiate there.
For 2021, the four distilleries selected by Luca Gargano are Hampden (Jamaica), Mount Gay (Barbados), Saint James (Martinique) and Foursquare (Barbados). The images are unpublished works by photographer Elliot Erwitt.
Pure single rum 100% pot still being part of the stock purchased by Frank Ward, still distilled by his family before the sale.
Triple distilled in double retort pot still in 2007 and aged in tropical climate 14 years in American white oak barrels.
