Rum Mulata 7 Years Anejo Gran Reserva
Brand Mulata is owned by Tecnoazucar, a company founded in 1982 that produces and sells sugarcane derivatives, for which it holds 80 percent of the Cuban domestic market.
The Mulata was launched in 1983 and covers 10 percent of the Cuban domestic market, ranking 3rd in sales, while it has been coming to Europe since 1993.
Since 2001 it has boasted the “Sello de Garantia,” a synonym for guarantee of origin, and since 2004 it has been among the 7 rums officially designated for export by the Cuban government.
It is made from the best molasses in the central part of the island of Cuba, at the Villa Clara site, in a plant with a production capacity of 3 million liters and with 80 employees.
A common feature of Mulata labels, is the depiction of the goddess “Ochun,” the Venus of Yoruba mythology patroness of Cuba, synonymous with love and motherhood.
Ron Palma Mulata is inspired by Cuban identity and culture, containing the fire, taste and miscegenation of its people. The mulatta is present throughout Cuban history as a symbol of beauty and fire, which is why Ron Palma Mulata has as its symbol a mulatta showing her smile, hospitality, and natural beauty. Ron Palma Mulata is a reflection of “Cuban Pride.”
This distillate is the fruit of thousands of years of tradition in sugar processing and the art of rum making, passed down from generation to generation by the master roneros, a unique process that blends the most exquisite rums aged in oak barrels.
Ron Palma Mulata prevails because of its quality, taste, color and flavor characteristic of Cuban rums.
Ron Palma Mulata Anejo Gran Reserva 7 years old
Dark amber color with a slight fruity aroma, lingering and smooth with a hint of sweet almonds. A pleasant balance between sweetness and a slight bitter finish, it fills the palate and lingers with a ripe touch. Ideal to drink with a Creole coffee and a Cuban cigar.
