The great masters of photography meet the great masters of rum: this is the idea behind the Magnum series.
Four photographs signed by an artist from Magnum, one of the most important photographic agencies in the world, embellish the labels of four rums produced by four great Master Distillers, bottled in Magnum format.
Luca Gargano, is recognized all over the world for the quality of these rum selections, and is also one of the largest rum collectors in the world. However, he also has a passion for photography, which captures the present moment. So through these photos he shares his encounters with him, his travels to the four corners of the planet, to discover the most secret rum distilleries, the most remote in Africa.
This passion for the image led him to come into contact with the Magnum agency, a famous company created in 1947 by great names in photography. Like Robert Capa or Henri Cartier Bresson, and currently still great photojournalists officiate there.
For 2021, the four distilleries selected by Luca Gargano are Hampden (Jamaica), Mount Gay (Barbados), Saint James (Martinique) and Foursquare (Barbados). The images are unpublished by photographer Elliot Erwitt.
