, is a limited-production premium aged rum with 23 years of maturation in white oak barrels. For its bouquet it is considered “the cognac of rums.”
Its packaging is elaborate with royal palm, woven by Guatemalan artisans. Winner for five consecutive years (1998, 1999, 2000 , 2001, 2002) of the 1st. Place Premium Category in the Caribean Week´s Rum Festival and qualified by Wine Enthusiast trade magazine with 95 points out of 100, ahead of globally recognized brands, rum Zacapa 23 centenario is considered the World´s Best Rum.
Rum Zacapa 23 was chosen for the inauguration of the Hall of Fame of the aforementioned competition, a status that to date has not been achieved by any other aged rum in the world.
Soft and sweet beginning with caramel, vanilla, cocoa and butterscotch aromas. Notes of caramelized roasted Brazil nut sherry and toasted hazelnut continue, complemented by toffee, banana and dried pineapple.
Complex, generous and full-bodied. Starting with a depth of dried fruit and apricot, then moving on to savory oak, nutmeg, leather and tobacco with notes of coffee and vanilla, balanced by a spicy touch of cinnamon and ginger.
