Saint Clair Marlborough Origin Chardonnay 2021 cl 75

Full-bodied with layers of ripe stone fruit and subtle oak spices.

Enology and viticulture:

The fruit was carefully selected from several quality vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley. Each parcel was chosen to add complexity and fullness as well as giving balance and offering special characteristics to the final wine. The wine is partially fermented in new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. Each barrel underwent malolactic fermentation to add depth and give fullness to the palate. After eight months of barrel aging, the wine was assembled and carefully prepared for bottling.

Color:

Light strawberry.

Aroma:

White nectarine and oak spices lifted with notes of cookie, vanilla and butter.

Palate:

Fresh and fruity with complex layers of ripe stone fruit, Nashi pear and a touch of spice. Round and textured with a generous mid-palate and a lingering finish.

Aging potential:

Perfect to drink right away, this Chardonnay will be at its best over the next two to three years.
