The history of Sancerre Blanc Comte Lafond Baron de Ladoucette began in 1787 when the Comte Lafond family bought the vineyards of Poully-Fumé, in Chateau du Nozet, in the Loire Valley. And today the owner of this historic winemaking business is Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, a direct descendant who over time has expanded the area planted with vines by acquiring vineyards in the areas of Sancerre, Pouilly-Fuissé, Chablis, Champagne, Vouvray and Chinon.

The Sancerre wine production area includes the villages of Amigny, Bue, Chavignol, Reigny and Verdigny. Fermentation takes place in steel and at low temperature followed by aging for two years.

To the eye, the color is a clear, bright gold. The nose is appreciated for its intense and rich bouquet in which floral notes of hawthorn and mulberry dominate.
