Stolichnaya Premium is the best-selling vodka ever and the most widely used throughout the blending world. For its production, the entire supply chain is controlled following the “farm to bottle” principle. Stolichnaya prides themselves on using only the best ingredients available to produce their superior vodka. That is why grains are used from Tambov, which is located about 600 kilometers southeast of Moscow, in the heart of an area known as the central Black Earth region, an area famous for grain production.

To make Stoli Premium, wheat and rye are ground, combined together and mixed with artesian well water, a small amount of yeast is added and the mixture is left to ferment. The fermented wash is carefully monitored to ensure that there is no residue that could trigger fermentation again. Distillation takes place in the renovated Talvis distillery, inside a modern facility built in 2009. After distillation, the liquid is transported to Riga, Latvia, to the historic Lavijas Balzam distillery, still in operation since 1901. Here Stolichnaya undergoes filtration processes through quartz sand, then through birch charcoal, again with quartz sand, and finally through a polypropylene filter. It is then lowered in degree with water from the distillery’s artesian wells and finally bottled.
