Vintage 2019 weather trend

The 2019 vintage will be remembered as one of the best of the current decade, the winter was mild on the South West side, with a harsh and cold climate, but not too rainy. Spring, on the other hand, recorded peaks of cold until late April, with a slow opening of the buds and a general slowdown of the vegetative phase until late June, where temperatures suddenly rose, melting the snow on the top of the volcano and dramatically increasing the temperatures until the end of August, in fact in the summer months there was very little rainfall and a dry and scorched climate. September and October were characterized by a slight increase in rainfall and a clear climate, with powerful temperature changes and very cold nights. Overall, the grapes, despite a small and evident reduction in quantity, benefited from the splendid vintage, guaranteeing excellent quality and excellent concentration. The A’Puddara 2019 is tense on the nose, with hints of orange blossom, mandarin, graphite and broom, with a slight hint of hydrocarbon and herbaceous. In the mouth it is green, vertical and very iodized, with a salty and persistent finish with a marked acidity.
