Vintage 2020 weather trend

The 2020 vintage in the municipality of Rovittello, on the north side, is characterized by a very mild winter without heavy rainfall, on the other hand the vegetative phases were slightly delayed in arriving, starting with the opening of the buds close to the end of April to due to the cold and some snowfalls. This trend is characterized by the high humidity and the harsh climates of the parts of the vineyard that are close to the slopes, that is the portion dedicated to our rosé. These areas are getting colder and more humid and even during the summer they benefit from shade and a strong temperature range. The months from May to September did not have major changes, but a slow and constant ripening, little rainfall and in general a very healthy and balanced trend, as well as during the harvest. Rosato 2020 is drained and close to onion skin in terms of color intensity, on the nose it has a strong hint of spices, ink, Mediterranean scrub and wild strawberry, with a very salty and long finish, vertical but rich in mouth.
