Deep ruby red and bright, the nose is rich and intensely spicy, with notes of ripe jammy cherry, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is elegant and full-bodied, with soft, silky tannins and a long persistence.
Suitable for earthy dishes, it is excellent with boiled, braised and grilled red meats.
Vineyards in the Conca d’oro and La Groletta Cru, in the hilly area of Valpolicella Classica.
Corvina 70%, Rondinella 25%, Corvinone 5%.
Vinification and Aging
Fermentation in steel barrels for about 15 days. Re-fermentation on Amarone pomace for about 12/13 days. Maturation for at least 18 months
In 65 hl Slavonian oak barrels. Stays 6 months in bottle.
