Turriga was born from the now mature vision of the Argiolas family.

A ruby red produced from traditional grape varieties, Turriga tells the world about the ancient memories of the Mediterranean island in a contemporary and international language. It expresses, in the fullness of its character, the robust philosophy of the Argiolas household, which, codified by the patriarch, dates its elaboration to the 1980s. It was then that Antonio, who was born in 1906 and died over a hundred years old, never tired of measuring himself with innovation, shared with his sons, Franco and Giuseppe, the idea of bottling the product of the grapes ripened in the vineyards not far from Serdiana, the Cantina’s village, the scene of sacrifices and passions and the fulcrum of the family’s entrepreneurial history.

SOIL

Medium limestone, some? Pebbly and stony, disintegrated rock layers.

CLIMATE

Mediterranean, mild winters, limited precipitation, very hot and windy summers.

COLLECTION

Burning by hand between October and November.

WINEMAKING

Careful selection of grapes. Temperature-controlled fermentation 28-32 °C. Maceration of about 16-18 days with good use of the delestage technique.

AGING

18-24 months in new French oak barrels.

REFINING

For 12 to 14 months in the bottle.
