In the mid-1980s, during the coldest winter ever, a Canadian bartender almost accidentally gave birth to the mixture of whiskey and cinnamon liqueur that would warm him through the long, freezing nights. It initially remained a secret formula shared among the most experienced bartenders but then spread throughout North America.
At Colorado apres Ski it’s mixed with hot apple juice or chocolate in a mug; at colleges it’s the shot that lights up the evening!
