In the mid-80s, during the harshest winter ever, a Canadian bartender created, almost by chance, the blend of whiskey and cinnamon liqueur that would warm him during the long cold nights. Initially it remained a secret formula shared among the most experienced bartenders but then it spread throughout North America.
In Colorado apres-skis it’s mixed with hot apple juice or hot chocolate, in colleges it’s the shot that lights up the night!
Fireball is a blend of Canadian whiskeys, cinnamon flavored with the addition of sweeteners. It is produced by the Sazerac Company, and has become famous especially since 2018, since it is one of the best-selling whiskey brands in the United States, especially among the youngest. Today Fireball is the world’s first and most famous cinnamon flavored whiskey.
