Château d’Esclans is located in the heart of Provence, northeast of Saint-Tropez, with the Mediterranean Sea in the background. Sacha Lichine bought the estate in 2006 with the ambition of creating the best Rosés in the world, thus beginning the “Rosé renaissance” through innovative winemaking methods that revolutionized the style of Rosé de Provence.
Today the property covers 427 hectares, 140 of which are vineyards. The main grape variety to be grown is Grenache, followed by Vermentino and then Cinsault, Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Tibouren and other varieties. The Château is known for its cellars-the oldest in the region-and old Grenache vines, which produce grapes characterized by a higher concentration of aromas. As the altitude of the plots increases, the age of the vines also increases: on the highest plots, the plants reach 90 years of age.

Tasting Notes
