The Grillo farm is a family business that has 92 hectares of land located in the province of Trapani.
he Grillo family, for three generations, has been involved in the cultivation of their land, using only organic methods, in particular, numerous hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards from native grapes; a small part is destined to olive groves, of the Nocellara del Belìce and Cerasuola varieties; a considerable area is reserved for the cultivation of a vegetable garden and various fruit trees; finally, a small plot of the company is aimed at the production of durum wheat.
Grillo products are obtained from raw materials from organic farming, grown on the family’s land. When the fruits reach the right degree of ripeness, they are rigorously picked and selected by hand.
The tomato, called siccagno, is precisely brought to maturity without irrigation, it develops only with the natural humidity brought by the temperature range between day and night. Reached the right degree of ripeness, it is harvested and selected by hand. The process of milling the olives is carried out with a continuous cycle mechanical system, therefore interruptions in the processing are excluded in order to have a very high quality oil.
