Taylor’s is one of the oldest Port wine houses. It is devoted entirely to Port wine production and in particular to its most prized styles.

Port is one of Europe’s great classic wines, and its history is long and fascinating. One of the fascinating aspects of Port wine is its variety of different styles, each with its own distinctive flavors.

The most perfect wine and food pairings are closely related. Chilled native oysters and a fresh, crisp Muscadet and hearty meat sauce with a full-bodied Barolo. However, every rule has its exceptions, and these often turn out to be the most interesting pairings. Consider port wine and cheese. The flavor profiles of both salty cheese and sweet port, although strong enough to resist each other, fall at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, acting as complements, somewhat like a good marriage!
