Fascinating combination of Sauvignon Blanc, Grechetto, Traminer, S\u00e9millon and Riesling grapes and the unique terroir of Castello della Sala.<\/p>\n

  • Vinification:<\/strong> The grapes come from the Castello della Sala vineyards, located between 200 and 450 meters above sea level on clay soils rich in marine fossils. Hand-picked and carefully selected, the grapes undergo a light crushing without destemming. The must ferments for 18 days at about 17\u00b0C, then matures in French oak barrels for 6 months, followed by an additional 2 years in steel.<\/li>\n
  • Historical Data:<\/strong> Muffato della Sala is made from botrytized grapes harvested in late October-early November, developing “noble rot” on the grapes. This mold concentrates sugars and aromas, giving the wine a harmonious and distinctive taste. Grape composition varied, with the first vintage in 1987 composed mainly of Sauvignon Blanc, Grechetto and Drupeggio.<\/li>\n
  • Tasting Notes:<\/strong> Muffato della Sala presents a bright golden yellow color. On the nose, ripe fruit sensations such as apricot, peach and citrus aromas emerge, with floral hints and iodine notes.
