This wine of great elegance is a symbol of Bolgheri terroir, thanks to the combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small percentage of Petit Verdot.  The alluvial clay-sandy soils of the estate contribute to a wine with structure, complexity and minerality, enriched by the typical Bolgheri agglomeration.<\/p>\n<h3>Climate and Harvest<\/h3>\n<p>The 2021 vintage was characterized by ideal weather conditions for viticulture. After a rainy winter, the summer season enjoyed a long dry period that allowed gradual and uniform ripening of the grapes. The harvest followed a perfect rhythm, starting with Merlot in early September, continuing with Cabernet Franc and ending with Cabernet Sauvignon at the end of the month, ensuring excellent concentration and integrity in each variety.  <\/p>\n<h3>The Bolgheri Amphitheater<\/h3>\n<p>Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the fascinating Bolgheri Amphitheater, where hills protect the plain facing the sea. This unique microclimate, characterized by wide temperature ranges, gives the grapes extraordinary aromaticity and promotes perfect ripening. <\/p>\n<h3>Vinification<\/h3>\n<p>Grapes are carefully selected before and after destemming to ensure impeccable quality. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 15-20 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months and bottled in June 2022.  <\/p>\n<h3>Tasting Notes<\/h3>\n<p>Guado al Tasso 2021 shows a deep ruby red color. The nose offers a complex bouquet of black fruits, sweet spices, toasted wood and notes of underbrush. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and persistent, with velvety tannins and an elegant finish.
