Introduced to South Tyrol in 1850, Pinot Bianco<\/strong> is one of our winery’s most important white wines. First bottled in 1982, Schulthauser<\/strong> is now among the best-known Pinot Blancs in Alto Adige. A complete, fruity and fresh wine, it is capable of seducing the palate with its creamy smoothness and marked acidity. <\/p>\n

  • Color:<\/strong> Straw yellow with greenish highlights.<\/li>\n
  • Nose:<\/strong> Clear fruity expressions of apple, fresh pear and white flowers.<\/li>\n
  • Taste:<\/strong> Lively and balanced with fresh, fruity creaminess.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Composition and Vineyards:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    • Variety:<\/strong> Pinot Blanc<\/li>\n
    • Location:<\/strong> Vineyards in the “Schulthaus” area, above Castel Moos in “Appiano Monte” (540-620m)<\/li>\n
    • Exposure:<\/strong> South\/East<\/li>\n
    • Soils:<\/strong> Gravelly, calcareous with presence of clay<\/li>\n
    • Training system:<\/strong> Guyot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Harvest and Vinification:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
        \n
      • Harvest:<\/strong> Late September; manual harvest and selection of grapes.<\/li>\n
      • Vinification:<\/strong> 85% fermented in steel vats, 15% in wooden barrels with malolactic fermentation. Blending in the month of February. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Recommended pairings:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

        Ideal as an aperitif and summer wine, it pairs well with:<\/p>\n
