Mr. Galliano, a rough yet kind old man, many years ago tended a beautiful Moscato vineyard on the hillside near the Berta farmhouse.
Those were times when Italian was spoken little and things were named after their owners: that gentle hill, as soft as the vine grown upon it, was known to everyone as Bric del Gaian<\/em> \u2014 Galliano\u2019s Hill.
This Moscato grappa, aged eight years in wood and as smooth as the hillside we admire every day from the distillery windows, is dedicated to him.<\/p>\n
