Glenfiddich 18 is distilled using two different types of differently shaped stills. This difference in the shape of the still’s neck allows for two different expressions of new make that are assembled to achieve Glenfiddich’s characteristic taste. New Make is lowered to 63.5 percent abv using water from Robbie Dhu’s spring and transferred inside American oak and former sherry barrels. Glenfiddich 18 ages for a minimum of 18 years and is bottled after a very strict selection of the best barrels by malt master Brian Kinsman.
