Auritea 2017 is a prestige red wine from the Lunelli Brothers’ Podernovo Estate, located along the Tuscan coast and certified organic since 2012. This exclusive wine, made from pure Cabernet Franc grapes, is named after Arca Aurita, a fossil shell that has been present in the estate’s soils for millions of years, giving the wine a distinctive minerality.

Production Details:

• Grapes Used: 100% Cabernet Franc, carefully selected from the Podernovo Estate vineyards.
• Terroir: The Olmo vineyard, located on the east side of Podernovo hill, benefits from soils rich in fossil shells of marine origin, which contribute to the wine’s complexity and minerality.
• Vinification and Aging: After a cold pre-fermentation maceration, the wine is vinified in stainless steel and then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in bottle to further refine complexity and elegance.
• Production: The first vintage of Auritea was produced in 2015, cementing Podernovo Estate’s reputation for excellence.
