Herradura Tequila Anejo Cl 70

Herradura was founded in 1861 by Feliciano Romo in Amatitàn, a town located about 10 km from the city of Tequila in the state of Jalisco. Legend has it that Feliciano Romo while looking for the ideal place to build the distillery, found a horseshoe, which has always been considered a good luck charm, so he decided that that would be the ideal location for his business.

Herradura wholly owns all the agave plantations from which their tequila is produced. In addition, Herradura ferments, distills, ages and bottles the entire range without the addition of additives, coloring or sweeteners.

Thanks to an idea of Feliciano Romo’s wife, Gabriela de la Peña, Herradura was the first hacienda that, in 1974, began producing reposado, tequila aged 11 months. Instead, their first production of añejo tequila, aged for two years in oak barrels, dates back to 1962.
