Miano DOC Valledolmo Contea di Sclafani 2023 – Catarratto di Alta Quota

Miano DOC Valledolmo – Contea di Sclafani is an elegant white wine made from Catarratto grapes grown between 700 and 900 meters above sea level, on the slopes of the Madonie Mountains. This unique terroir, with sandy and clay soils and a mountain climate, gives the wine freshness and minerality, typical of the grape variety.

The vines, about 20 years old, are trained using the espalier and alberello systems, and the October harvest preserves the integrity of the grapes. Vinification is by the white wine method with fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16°C, while aging takes place for three months in stainless steel tanks, followed by two months in the bottle.
