Bric del Gaian – Grappa di Moscato
Mr. Galliano, a rough yet kind old man, many years ago tended a beautiful Moscato vineyard on the hillside near the Berta farmhouse.
Those were times when Italian was spoken little and things were named after their owners: that gentle hill, as soft as the vine grown upon it, was known to everyone as Bric del Gaian — Galliano’s Hill.
This Moscato grappa, aged eight years in wood and as smooth as the hillside we admire every day from the distillery windows, is dedicated to him.

Distillerie Berta is one of the most prestigious names in the world of Italian grappa. Founded in 1947 by Paolo Berta in the heart of Monferrato, the distillery was born from a deep family tradition and a strong connection to the Piedmontese territory.
Today, the third generation of the Berta family continues to follow the same philosophy: selecting high-quality pomace from the best wine producers and transforming it into elegant distillates through discontinuous distillation in copper pot stills. The long aging in different types of wood adds complexity, smoothness and aromatic depth.
Surrounded by an eight-hectare natural park, the distillery combines tradition with sustainability, carrying out projects focused on reforestation, environmental protection and enhancement of the local landscape. Alongside production, the family also supports social initiatives through the SoloPerGian Foundation, dedicated to the memory of Gian Berta.
