Francois Peyrot Cognac VSOP
Today, the Vignoble des Bergeronnettes covers 25 hectares of vineyards planted in the Grande Champagne 1erCru de Cognac.
The spirit of family
How can we not mention John the Baptist? A winemaker, he started in 1893 and was probably the one who forged this spirit out of love for the land and the vineyard.
But it all really began in 1956 (the vineyard then numbered 7 hectares) when Jean and Mathilde tried their hand at distilling and making Cognac. Most of this was distributed to merchants in the region. And little by little the vineyard expanded.
It was in 1970 that the François and Gisèle decided to launch their own brand, and in July 1971 they sold their first bottle (a VSOP) under the name “Cognac François Peyrot.”
