Patrón Tequila Añejo
Tequila Patron Anejo
is a delicate blend of unique tequilas aged in small French white oak barrels for at least 12 months. Each bottle is hand-numbered and made from recycled glass.
Agave matures slowly: every eight years or so. Jimador experts take great care in finding and eradicating only those Weber Blue Agave with optimal sugar content. Using a sharp tool called a Coa, they tear away the leaves to reveal the heart of the plant, the piña.
After being cut by hand, the piñas are baked in small brick ovens to ensure even baking. Then, they are crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone Tahona wheel and rolling mill.
The resulting mixture is fermented for three days, distilled and, in some cases, aged in handcrafted barrels.
The tequila itself might be the most obvious element, but in Mexico, every bottle of Patrón is measured and shaped to perfection.
The distillate is then bottled in small batches. The attention to detail does not stop there: fine Portuguese cork and French crystal masters, Lalique for a beautiful crystal stopper.
The entire tequila production process takes place at Hacienda Patrón, where only Tequila Patrón is produced.
