MILICE Etna Rosso DOC 2019 is a wine of great elegance, produced from pure Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on ancient, centuries-old vines located on a steep volcanic cone of Mount Ilice, with a slope of up to 65 percent. Manual harvesting, carried out between the second and third week of October, testifies to the care and attention put into each stage of production. After vinification with maceration on the skins, this Etna Rosso is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, and then for 12 months in steel and bottle, to achieve perfect balance.

Tasting Notes

• Color: Ruby red with garnet reflections, elegant and bright.
• Aroma: The nose presents a bewitching complexity, with delicate sweet notes of wild strawberries and currants, accompanied by ripe plum. This is followed by mineral hints typical of the volcanic terroir, on a balsamic background of eucalyptus, leather, tobacco and vanilla.
• Taste: Fresh and vibrant on the palate, with fine, well-integrated tannins. The taste is long and persistent, characterized by a pleasant minerality that recalls the volcanic soil of Mt. Ilice.
