Pianpolvere Soprano Barolo Classico DOCG 2018
Pianpolvere Soprano Farm
Characteristics
The totally biodynamically managed vineyard is home to many animal varieties (bees, bumblebees, bats and several species of insectivorous birds). The wine is marketed only after the canonical four years of aging required by the product specification.
EXPOSURE: south, southwest
AREA: 7 hectares (from a % of the youngest vineyards)
Soil:
Limestone with compact layers of marls and sandstones
Grape varieties:
100% nebbiolo
Vinification:
Vinification in cement followed by aging in wood (barriques of different passage) and in the bottle.
Tasting notes:
A wine of great charisma, with blue berry and menthol notes. The sip is punctuated by fine, precise tannins typical of the vineyard. Juicy and biting, the persistence of the fruit and salinity in the finish make it deep, mineral, enveloping. Very elegant, powerful and drinkable even in its early years.
