Viali di Altarello Catarratto 2023 – Sicilia DOC | Fresh and Mediterranean White Wine

Still white wine obtained only from Catarratto grapes, grown at 350 meters above sea level in the heart of Western Sicily, in the Altarello district of Salaparuta. Produced in Sicilia DOC, it fully expresses the balance between Mediterranean freshness and mineral structure.

Tasting notes

It appears pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose it opens with delicate notes of white pulp fruit and citrus, followed by herbaceous and mineral sensations. On the palate it is fragrant, fresh and savoury, with good persistence and an agile drink.

Vinification and refinement

Fermented in stainless steel at 16°C for about 20 days, followed by refinement in a tank for 6 months, plus further 2 months in bottle. The winemaking technique preserves the aromatic integrity of the vine to the maximum.

Recommended pairings

Perfect as aperitif, it pairs excellently with raw fish, seafood appetizers, seasonal vegetables, but also with fresh, unripe cheeses. A wine that enhances Mediterranean cuisine.
