Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso Cru Feudo di Mezzo DOC 2020
Feudo di Mezzo is perhaps the largest contrada in the Etna DOC: homogeneous in character, but with clear variations in quality. Somewhat like one might say of Clos de Vougeot in Burgundy.
The best particles-such as the “Picture of Roses”-exhibit a shadowy character, autumnal suggestions in its spicy-resinated bouquet. Always the first area to be harvested, it also always gives the most open, generous and smooth wines. Of all the crus it is the supremely velvety one, with the smoothest tannins and the most enveloping bouquet. It ages ineffably, its twilight nature gaining brightness as it matures.
Poultry, suckling pig or roast pork, braised meats, feathered game, as well as ragout, financier, lasagna.
