Badia a Passignano Gran Selezione is produced exclusively from the selection of the best Sangiovese grapes from the estate of the same name located in the heart of Chianti Classico. The area has been renowned for wine production since the year 1000. The vineyards lie on soil rich in limestone with a medium amount of clay at an elevation of about 300 meters above sea level. Aging takes place in the historic cellars of the 10th-century Badia di Passignano.

This Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is made exclusively with pure Sangiovese from estate vineyards located around the ancient abbey.
