Louis Roederer Champagne Brut Nature Rose 2015
VINTAGE
Extraordinary vintage in the year of Champagne’s recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! 2015 is perfectly in line with the continental trend of the decade: mild, wet winter and hot, dry summer! The hot and sunny summer will be remembered for record heat and drought… Fortunately, in the second half of August, a lifesaving rain gave much-needed relief to the vines. Ripening, thanks to this cool-weather finish, will yield juicy, ripe and concentrated grapes! The ambition of this thousandth? Capturing the essence of a spectacular vintage!
TASTING NOTES
Pink color with bright and fresh highlights.
Generous and slow effervescence.
Intense Pinot noir bouquet mixing delicate citrus (Etna blood orange), red fruits (currants) and spices (a hint of camphor). With aeration, red fruits combine with honey notes reminiscent of gingerbread.
Palate with an enveloping, juicy, concentrated and fruity attack. The sun-rich fruit and sugary texture give the impression of biting into a perfectly ripe blackberry. Masterfully sensual balance through structure, the dense matter perfectly balancing zero dosage. This is followed by slightly spicy (camphor), smoky, and iodine notes that introduce a feeling of Umami.
