Louis Roederer Champagne Brut Vintage 2014 Cl 75
Louis Roederer
MILLESIMAL 2014
A three-step climatic waltz with strong, sharp and decisive contrasts! A gorgeous, dry spring that flows into a scorching June; an autumn summer, cool and rainy; a warm, sunny and very dry September — worthy of an August. The “key” to the vintage lies in the soil and the work of the winemakers: the chalk, rewarding because it is more draining, in the medium-low zone from the hillside, has made it possible to eliminate the excess water of the summer and limit stagnation… fundamental the viticultural practices, increasingly virtuous, which allow one to go further in the search for the equili- brio of the grapes and ripening.

Tasting notes:
Yellow color, with slightly amber iridescent highlights. The perlage is dynamic and regular. A suave, almost sweet, intense and deep bouquet of yellow (peach) and red (currant) fruits followed by cocoa bean and smoky aromas that enrich a bouquet of great generosity, complexity and gluttony. The palate is broad, fruity and dense. The concentration of matter creates a velvet effect due to the perfectly blended bubbles. High in energy, limestone freshness meets the delicacy of smoky notes, typical of Grand Cru Verzy. Brilliant, dense and energetic.
