Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage 2015 Champagne Cl 75
Extraordinary vintage in the year of Champagne’s recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! 2015 is perfectly in line with the continental trend of the decade: mild, wet winter and hot, dry summer! The hot and sunny summer will be
remembered for heat and drought records… Fortunately, in the second half of August, a saving rain gave much-needed relief to the vines. Ripening, thanks to this cool-weather finish, will yield juicy, ripe and concentrated grapes! The ambition of this
thousandth? Capturing the essence of a spectacular vintage!
ORIGIN: Vineyard of the “Rivière”
CRU: Cumières, Chouilly
62% Pinot noir
WINES AGED IN WOOD: 11%.
MALOLACTIC FERMENTATION: 30%
A Rosé made by infusion: a long, delicate infusion of Pinot Noir that extracts its juiciness and ripeness while retaining its immense saline freshness. A portion of the Chardonnay juices are poured into a maceration of Pinot Noir to ferment together and integrate seamlessly.
Salmon color with bright red highlights. Fine and dynamic effervescence. Ripe, complex and fresh bouquet of slightly tart red fruits (red currants, black currants), ripe citrus (blood oranges) and roasted cocoa beans. With aeration, more compact, floral and sweet (petal) notes emerge along with a saline, almost iodine-like final touch.
The attack in the mouth is generous, sweet and concentrated. One has the impression of biting into juicy fruits and blood oranges, in a real aromatic explosion with juicy and slightly sour tones. The defined, dense body asserts itself and reinforces this feeling of substance, of concentrated liquor in the center of the palate. The finish lengthens, elegant, progressively revealing perceptions of umami, thanks to the precise and harmonious mineral freshness.
