Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé is the exception among Perrier-Jouët champagnes-a cuvée in which the delicate floral nuances of the Chardonnay grape are complemented by the rich flavors provided by a high percentage of Pinot Noir. Lusciously full and round on the palate, with characteristic notes of red and black fruit, it nevertheless retains a delicacy typical of the Maison Perrier-Jouët. Above all, Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé Champagne offers delightful evidence of the Maison’s enduring ability to surprise and delight.
A GOURMET TRADITION
Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé was inspired by Maison Perrier-Jouët’s prestigious Blason de France cuvées, introduced in 1955 and served in some of the world’s finest restaurants. Although delicious on its own, this subtle and sophisticated rosé champagne is made with food in mind, offering generous and complex flavors that can accompany a meal from appetizer to dessert
For Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, cellarer Hervé Deschamps selects wines from some 50 different crus, which he blends into an intricate and masterful harmony. The floral nuances of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs are balanced by the fullness of Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne. However, it is the Pinot Noir grapes from the northern Montagne de Reims that provide the ideal strength and structure for gastronomic pairing. The Pinot Noir grape variety is characterized by red skin and white juice. Of the Pinot Noir wines contained in Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé, a small percentage (10-15%) are red wines, made by macerating the grapes on the skins, which give this gourmet champagne its characteristic salmon-pink hue.
