Stolichnaya vodkas originate in Russia’s Tambov region, where the ultra-modern Talvis distillery produces the highest quality of Alpha-Spirit, the alpha grade identifying the highest quality level of a distillate according to Russian state parameters.
At the superb Latvijas Balzams distillery, alcohol intended for elit® is mixed with pure water from artesian wells. It is then filtered through Russian birch charcoal and quartz sand at a constant temperature of 15°C to create a vodka of unparalleled smoothness. For the final stage of its creation elit® undergoes the unique freeze-out filtering process. Inspired by the ancient Russian tradition of leaving barrels outside subjected to the harsh winter, the liquid is cooled to the exact temperature of -18°C, thus aggregating the last impurities. At this temperature the liquid thickens and slowly passes through charcoal filters with active ions, leaving an exquisitely pure distillate with character. After the penalty comes rest. elit® returns to room temperature unhurriedly and in doing so acquires all the characteristics of molecular perfection: impeccable clarity and density. Visibly bright, it is enveloping in the mouth and differs from any other vodka on the palate.

This score is unmatched and undefeated. In 2008, The Spirits Business “The Vodka Masters – Super Premium category” ranked elit® as MASTER. In 2009 it received gold medals in the Super Premium and Travel Retail categories and a MASTER in the Packaging and Design category; 2010 saw elit® win a gold medal in The Spirits Business Super Premium category.
