Rum Sao Can 14 Reserva Cl 70
Known and widespread in Cuba since the mid-19th century, the Sao Can brand has its roots in the sugar cane plantations of Cárdenas (western Cuba), historically cultivated by the indigenous Aruaco Taino population.
The name derives from the crasis between SAOco and CANchánchara, well-known Cuban cocktails from the late 1700s (even before the birth of the Mojito!).
SAOCO – simple drink in its composition, but profound in flavor and tradition. It is made with coconut water, rum and ice and preferably served in a coconut.
CANCHÁNCHARA – Drink prepared by the “mambises” (guerrilla soldiers for Cuban independence), mixing aguardiente with honey and lemon juice. It was used to withstand the cold and allowed them to warm up and protect themselves from diseases and various respiratory diseases.
Sao Can 14 Reserva Original is a Cuban DOP with a bewitching dark amber color. A blend of very aged reserves that amaze the nose, together with the notes of fruit. On the palate it is round and fruity.
